STEP INSIDE THE IPPOLITA JEWELRY BOX
Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates recently completed a new flagship location for luxury jeweler Ippolita, on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Known for cultivating beauty, Ippolita tasked JHA with thinking “outside the box” to create a unique shopping experience that allowed the customer to directly experience the product.
Given that the space was only 500 sq ft, JHA’s concept was to design an open and accessible retail “showroom” where the customer could directly interact with the product. With a no “behind-the-glass” concept, magnetic wool felt wall panels allow for flexible merchandising using “floating” displays that provide an immersive shopping experience, all products are on display and easily accessible for the client to experience their “own jewelry box” as they touch, try on, and explore.
The private viewing room is distinguished with a bold, colorful wall covering with a modern interpretation of a classic diamond pattern.

A modern glass facade with brass accents allows one to peer inside the intimate space. Once inside, felt wall panels and carpet tile surround the perimeter, accompanied by stone furniture and brass highlights.
